I’d build a light bar into the top edge of the grille, retain stock fog housing but use high power wide-beam amber.

As lame as it sounds, I wish I could put something like this on my Accent! Hyundai has rally pedigree, it makes sense! I already have a WRC shift knob (that I had on my last car and want to put on all my manual cars through the years as a good friend gave it to me). :D

Rigid Squadron pro xl?

Baja designs makes the Squadron series, including the pro.. XL is another Baja Design series. Rigid makes a Dually XL but it’s a smaller pod..

Ok, so those are called XL Sports. You happened to get the round faced ones. BD are awesome because you can swap the lenses yourself between spot/combo/wide..

Technically no.. you’re allowed one set of aux driving lights but they are limited brightness and have quite specific aim requirements.. all other are considered off road and need opaque covers when not in use..

I’ve got a set of Squadron sport and a set of Squadron pro on the Tacoma. They are brutally bright. Baja Designs are the only lights I’ll buy now- nothing compares.

They’ll come with a harness and a switch and relay. You have some options on how to set them up

I so wanted to put a pair of the BD Squadron’s on the Patrol but as a general duties paddock basher it would be lipstick on a pig.

Then I though about moving the old Lightforce 140' s off the VW and onto the Patrol and putting BDs on the VW...and then the Oz dollar tanked.

So the LFs stated on the VW and the Patrol got $120 Chinese Ebay 6" spots.

I'd like to think I’m not regretting that decision...

We’ll talk when you get your parts.. my current setup is my favourite; light relay is triggered by an add-a-fuse that is on the high beam fuse under the hood. Switch is in the dash. For the lights to come on the high beams have to be on. That way when you are cruising down the ( not) highway you have everything on. If you see anyone coming towards you switching down to low beam turns off all the extra lights.

Your other option would be to wire the relay directly to 12v and have them controlled only by the switch on the dash. I don’t like fumbling around trying to turn off lights, but if you wanted to just run your extra lights by themselves for some reason that would be the way to go..
